Good News and Bad News

First, the bad news. KCET is one of the few HD PBS stations in my area, and they will no longer be a part of the PBS network starting January 1st of 2011. KCET is one of the primary stations I use to capture WordGirl episodes. The other PBS stations in my area are unreliable when it comes to broadcasting new episodes of anything, or I just can't receive the other PBS stations due to my geographical location. Now the good news, two new WordGirl episodes should be broadcasting around January 3rd and the 17th. Those episodes should be 3x08 and 3x11, respectively. You can view this information too at the KET PBS affiliate website here.

As for encoding and uploading those new episodes, it may actually take months to even capture the episodes. The other PBS stations in my area are very unreliable when it comes to broadcasting new episodes of any show, so don't expect the new WordGirl episodes on this blog soon after they are supposed to air.

Bad news! And Good News!

Bad news first, I got a few digital errors for episode 3x05, so I won't be encoding and uploading it until that episode broadcasts again; which will be the 27th of September.

Good news is PBS has a new WordGirl DVD titled, WordGirl: Tricks & Treats. Before I get to the episodes listing, I'll give you guys a correction. I noticed I had some episodes numbered wrong.

From the Season 1 on Megaupload blog post, look for these entries:

I have the numbers switched around, here is what the correction will look like:

I used the PBS affiliate KET to get the episode numbers. Thankfully, I don't have any other wrong errors. I'll edit that posting soon.

Alright, before the episode listings for the DVDs, I'll give a quick explanation along with an example of those listings. You'll notice something like 101A or 203B. The 101 is similar to 1x01, which means Season 1 Episode 1. The A stands for the first segment, or first part of the episode; and B stands for the second segment, or second part of the episode. I'll show you when the A and B comes in with the episode 1x01 shown below:

I totally recommend buying them since you'll show your support, and you'll have something more convenient than the episodes I uploaded. The DVDs might not have the "May I Have A Word?" segments. I don't know for sure since I haven't bought the DVDs yet! I plan on buying the DVDs eventually.

No New WordGirl Episodes Over Here

Sorry about that folks. The new WordGirl episodes did not air over here, so I was not able to record anything. Some good news, the new episodes might repeat again next month, so I should be able to get it then. I finally got some equipment that might be able to capture the HD broadcast.

WordGirl Episodes

Hello, everyone! This blog will serve a few purposes. One of them being a place to organize or to give news on the WordGirl episodes uploaded with those torrents up at thepiratebay.org. Before I get to those, there is an effort to upload WordGirl episodes onto YouTube by PlasmaTheMouse (Update: Account is now deleted). There is also an anonymous person that uploaded nearly all the WordGirl Season 1 episodes over at the private tracker www.ttoktv.com (no longer around). I recommend going there if you haven't downloaded any WordGirl episodes yet. I think there's a Yahoo! Group for WordGirl fans, you might be able to find it in the search at http://groups.yahoo.com/.

You can see the torrents I uploaded over at (Dead link). The second purpose of this blog is to have a place to where the English Closed Caption files can be downloaded (converted to .SRT format)! They aren't perfect, and they require editing for typos and errors due to the way I got them (VCR). Those will come in the next posts.
