Onto the bad news, I won't be encoding and uploading anymore WordGirl episodes. Encoding and uploading takes a surprising amount of time, which is becoming more precious to me as other commitments battle for it, leaving me to both watch and organize the struggle, a struggle that is both rewarding and tiring. I am sorry about delaying my promise by a few months, keeping promises is what I always try to do.

WordGirl 3x11 Bampy Battles Bots / Truth, Revision, and the Lexicon Way
WordGirl 3x11 Bampy Battles Bots / Truth, Revision, and the Lexicon Way is up! The non-HD PBS channel here did not have the proper new episode on the 17th. So they will mess up the schedule every now and again, unfortunately. At least they had the other broadcasts right! No Spanish audio this time either since I couldn't get a good recording of that episode.
According to the KET PBS affiliate website, it looks like episode 3x10 will be airing in February on the 8th, 11th, and 14th. Hopefully, things will go smoothly then over here.

WordGirl 3x08 Bend It Like Becky / Questionable Behavior
WordGirl 3x08 Bend It Like Becky / Questionable Behavior is up!
Thankfully, one of the smaller PBS stations actually had truthful TV listings. I've trusted them two times before, and they lied about having a new episode at the listed times. I'm quite shocked they were actually episode 3x08! The bad thing is this PBS station never shows anything in HD, so the video size will be 512x288 instead of 656x368. I wanted to maintain the proper aspect ratio, along with other encoding stuff. :)
The actual recordings gave me some troubles, they had a few digital errors. Which is odd since they share the same broadcast tower as KCET, yet KCET tends to have a more stable broadcast. I finally got a perfect recording on a sub-channel, which does not broadcast the Spanish audio track. So that one will not be up. Onto the download links.

WordGirl 3x01 is up!
I was going to quit encoding WordGirl episodes, but I changed my mind. =D Here's the first episode of season 3, WordGirl 3x01 Bummertime / The Homerun King. No descriptive audio track this time, they had a Spanish track instead. I uploaded that if anyone wants to give it a listen.
You can usually see the approximate time when new episodes will come out at the KET PBS affiliate website here. Episodes 3x02 to 3x05 should start airing on September 13th to the 16th. Episode 3x06 should air on October 11th. Local TV listings usually show 2 weeks worth of schedules, so check out your local listings to see if they have the new WordGirl episodes.

WordGirl Shorts
Before going on to the normal post, I should say that I updated the episode 2x23 post to include the commercial I didn't encode the first time along with the descriptive audio track. Unfortunately, the descriptive audio track has an error or two in it, so it doesn't sync up well with the encode I have up.
I noticed the WordGirl website is missing the original shorts. So I decided to upload them. I was only to get the first 20 from TV, I can't seem to find the last ten since they did not air with "Maya and Miguel". However, I was able to get the original files from the WordGirl website a long time ago, but I forgot to save the links. Those files are actually small FLV files. You can use a program like the free FLV Player found here to play them: http://www.martijndevisser.com/blog/flv-player/
First, I encoded the shorts like I normally do, but since they're so small I put 1x01 to 1x10 in one RAR archive and 1x11 to 1x20 into another. The subtitles are also included in a separate RAR archive. Below the links I will include a tinypaste link to the episodes list. As usual, the MD5 Checksums will be there as a way to verify the files and to see what I put in those RAR archives. WordGirl 2x22 Opposite Day / Granny's Book Club
WordGirl 2x22 Opposite Day / Granny's Book Club has been uploaded! Something a little different this time. I have mirrors for this episode thanks to Multiupload. You'll notice that the main Megaupload link and the one in the Multiupload link have different letters. However, they both lead to the same file. Also, this episode is pretty early due to getting a good recording on the first airing, which is pretty rare.
WordGirl 2x21 should broadcast next month.
I forget if I mentioned this before, but the Descriptive Audio Track is an AC3 audio file for the blind and seeing-impaired. The track has another narrator describing what is going on-screen. Almost like an audiobook or radio-drama.

WordGirl 2x19 has been uploaded!
WordGirl 2x19 Oh, Holiday Cheese / Ch-ch-ch-change Day is up! You will notice I'm using Multiupload.com this time around. This site will upload a file to other webhosters so you can have several choices, or mirrors, to download from! If you're new to Multiupload, go to the link like you normally do. Once there, you will see a list of webhosters that also have the same file. Go ahead and click on the one of your choice, then proceed as normal. I recommend Megaupload, hotfile, and zShare. Watch out for the ads!
